The MidWest Renegade Dirt Devils is a team designed for riders ages 7-18. In 2008 the children stopped watching and joined the fun. Boy have they done a great job. Their first performance was in early October of 2008, after only 2 practices. The coaches teach the kids how to combine the fundamentals of riding with music and choreography. The Dirt Devils have shown an incredible ability to pick up new maneuvers very quickly. The rider/horse partners have to be in the right position at the right time. On more than one occasion they have competed against, and out-placed adult teams in various competitions They have also challenged the other Renegade teams with their level of commitment to each other…not to mention being the cutest of the Renegade teams.
Your Midwest Renegade Dirt Devils!
Samantha and Gunnar
Samantha had cheater stirrups at 2 and really took the reins at 4. You may have seen her carry the Renegades banner in parades and helping at shows for the past 4 years as she watches her sister ride. With some focused determination and a second horse in the family, Samantha gets to ride as the youngest member of the MidWest Renegades Dirt Devils.
Dana and Sis
Jacklyn and Roy
Jacklyn is 15 years old, and has been riding horses since she was six years old. This will be her third year with the Dirt Devil’s team, and she is very excited for the season to begin! She has found a new teammate this year in Roy, a 6 year old draft horse. Both are learning to work together well. In addition to her role on the Dirt Devil’s team Jacklyn and Roy like to do vaulting, and hope to begin performing as a specialty act together.
Caroline and Libby
Caroline started riding at Bull Valley Stables when she was 9. her dream to become a “Renegade Girl” started when she saw them perform at HAHS. From then on that was her goal. A phone call from Jenny asking her to be a part of the Dirt Devils finally made her dream come true. Caroline is excited to have Libby as her partner this year.
Lacie and Sailor
Lacie started riding horses at the age of 5. She started out on ponies, but quickly outgrew her beloved pony Tango. She found a new partnership with Sailor, an 11 year old Quarter Horse. The two of them had an instant connection and continue to work on strengthening that bond. Lacie has a background in eventing but wanted to ride western as well. When she saw the Dare Devils perform at the McHenry count fair she had her mind made up that she wanted to join the team.
Gaelyn and Outlaw
Gaelyn has been riding since she was 6 years old and has never looked back. She is an English Hunter/Jumper rider and has easily adapted to the Western riding style. In fact, she LOVES the contrast be the two riding styles. She is a fearless, dedicated rider who has definitely found her true passion in riding. This is her second year riding Outlaw and can’t imagine NOT doing Drill now. Her goal one day is to combine her hobby of archery & horses together for a specialty act.
Jordyn and Brandy
Jordyn has been riding for six years, and prior to riding she was a gymnast for 6 years. Continuing as a member of the Dirt Devil team for 2017 she joined the Dare Devil team this year as well. Brandy is also new to trick riding and drill team in general, but has made and continues to make great progress.
Teagan and Gangster
Teagan is 14 years old and has always had a special connection with animals, especially horses. She started riding hunter / jumper at the age of six and she knew right away that riding horses was what she loved to do and hasn’t stopped since! Teagan’s equestrian skills have really blossomed since being invited to ride with the Dirt Devils, and she is very excited to be riding Gangster.
