Roman Riding
originated in ancient Rome from the teams of horses used in chariot racing. The rider performs while standing, sitting, or kneeling with one foot on each horse. The rider and horses ride patterns at different gaits and weave through an obstacle course.
.The Vaulting Team
is most often described as gymnastics and dance on horseback. People have been performing acrobatic and dance-like movements on the backs of moving horses for more than 2,000 years. In competitive vaulting, vaulters compete as individuals, pairs (or pas-de-deux), and teams. Vaulting competitions consist of compulsory exercises and choreographed freestyle exercises done to music. There are six compulsory exercises: basic seat, flag, mill, scissors, stand and flank, in addition to the mount and dismount.

Geezer Dare Devils

This group of "old folk" is in denial! Despite their horse-mounting aides and their aches and pains, they are determined to do "trick riding" just as those darling Dare Devil gals do! The Geezers have their own way of doing their "tricks".

Bridleless Bareback Riding

requires skill, balance, coordination and allows direct communication with the horse. Riding without a bridle requires the rider to use their seat and legs to cue the horse to go forward, increase power, step sideways, and correctly bend. Horse and rider learn to have complete trust in each other.

My Horse is Better than Yours!

This is a friendly comedy competition routine between Mom and her horse versus Daughter and her horse.
What do you think? Freestyle or Trick Riding? Which Horse (and Rider) is better?

Reining

The horse is guided through a precise pattern of circles, spins, and stops. All work is done at the lope and gallop. Reining requires the horse to be responsive and in tune with its rider, whose cues should not be easily seen.

Freestyle

combines the elegance and beauty as well as the power and strength of the horse with music. The components of Rhythm, Energy, Elasticity, and the Harmony Between Horse and Rider show the importance of the ability and ease in the execution of the movements.

Classical Dressage

riding is described as the rider having the ability to ride in harmony with their horse. With the proper seat balance, correct body position, and proper use of the aids, this harmony occurs and results in looking like a dance with your horse.
